Today is the last day to lodge applications for those that are scheduled to be removed before the new financial year.
The legislation to repeal the visas was signed off by the governor general yesterday and will come into effect on Monday, which means that applications must be validly lodged today: http://www.comlaw.gov.
It was done in a very secretive way, no doubt to stem any sort of deluge of applications. I feel sorry for the hundreds or possibly thousands of applicants that have missed out.
